Where have I been? Welcome Back!

Howdy my fellow friends, fam and followers!

It’s been a long time, I shouldn’t of left you, without a dope blog to read to…

According to my calculations, I haven’t been in touch or contributed since August of last year.  What a damn shame. I like blogging but what can I say, the responsibilities of adulting took over.  When push comes to shove and the plate gets too full, sometimes you have to shuffle things around and reprioritize. Unfortunately, it was blogging that had to be shoved off my plate.

It’s seven months later and some really big projects on my docket have started to wind down. I wanted to take this time to get you all caught up and also reaffirm my commitment to providing you with some dope content because I’m such an awesome content curator (…right!).

Anyhow, here’s a quick recap of what you missed…

Game changing software

Back in the end of summer of last year, I was approached by client and some really powerful influencers to help put together some game changing software for the real estate industry. Something to really flip the way that agents do business. Me being the real estate cynic that I am, I was absolutely down to blow up the industry and leave everyone’s heads spinning. That day, AC (I’m hiding the name until we do our official release) was born.

We released our beta two months ago and we’re hoping to do our official launch before the end of summer. It’s designed to be a one stop marketing, CRM and transaction platform that will give a lot of companies in this space a run for their money. We know we have some solid gold in our hands because *knock on wood* we’ve already had a few inquiries about acquisition from some massive technology companies.  I’m totally stoked about it and I can’t wait to tell you guys when the time is right.

I got a coach

The funny thing about social media is, you can always create your own narrative to put a positive swing on things.  The honest truth is, it’s been a really rough past several months. Times have been a little tough and business has been suffering.  There came a point in early 2018 where my back was against the wall, SQ1 was about to go broke and I was running low on options. It really took a huge leap of faith but I buckled down and hired a business coach.  I wasn’t just going to hire any business coach either.  If I was going to do this, I was going to go big. When I think, “Who is the most successful coach in the world?” That answer is simple, it’s Tony Robbins! …so I went and hired a coach from the man himself, Tony Robbins!

I know what you’re thinking, “WTF, a life coach? Way to fall into a gimmick!”  …well, let me tell you that my coach has been a game changer.  She’s really shown me where I’ve been slippin’ and put me in a path to success and greatness.  I highly recommend getting one if the path ahead of you is looking a little grey or unclear.  A coach will help you prioritize your goals and provide you with structure and accountability to get you to where you need to be.

I’ve become a massive bookworm

One of the byproducts of success is the constant yearning to learn.  I’ve been on a huge bender to acquire as much knowledge as possible.  It’s something I learned being around some really successful people.  One of the biggest common denominators I’ve noticed being around this prosperous bunch is the nonstop fascination to grow. This has totally rubbed off on me to the tune of at least 4-5 books a month.

Here’s a life hack I’ve learned. Aside from traditional reading, go download Audible on your phone and get accustomed to listing to some audio books.  You can listen to them in the gym, in the car, before you sleep or when you’re taking a sh*t!  If you find a book that’s interesting or inspiring, you’ll quickly find that you have a bunch of time to stop and listen.  Also, I’ve found that playing an audio book back at 1.5x speed is great at getting you through a book faster but is slow enough to still be comprehensible. Lazier months I can typically burn through one traditional book and two audio books. I recommend that you give it a try if you haven’t already, it’s game changing!

Wrap up

I can totally go on-and-on because a lot can go on in the time span of 7 months but I’ll start wrapping it up for now.  There is a bunch of new content I’m planning to swing your way and much of it is going to elaborate on what I’ve learned and what you’ve missed.  Check back weekly for new updates but if you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read so far, please leave a message in the comment section below.  I’d love to hear from you!

Til next time,

-e
